Fact: On average...a kid smiles 400 times throughout the day!  Don't ruin their chances! -Mike Vrabel

Would you stop along to help another carry on? I love the poem "Sometimes I Cry" by the deceaced rapper/poem writing Tupac Shakur.  It reminds me to stay humble and pay attention to those around me through both my ups and the downs in life.  It is so easy to develop "tunnel vision" while we are goal chasing, and forget about those around us.  With life's chorse, it can be easy to pass those up as they experience a difficult time.  We often remember what pain feels like when we experience life's hardships ourselves.  That is when we hope for someone to stop along to help us carry on.  As easy as it is said, and as hard as it is done, no matter what our goals are we have to keep in eye on those around us that we love because if we don't, no matter what we achieve, we will all lose in the end.  What does this poem mean to you?

Did you know....

A student drops out of school every 26 seconds.

Only 58% of the population in the 50 biggest cities graduate from high school.

High School dropt outs commit 75% of the crimes in the U.S.

America’s high school graduation rate ranks 19th in the world. (Forty
years ago, we were number one.)
We have to act now....
We have to be the change for the future!

If we can visualize paradise in our minds, what prevents us from creating a paradise in our reality?

I've learned that if I want a different outcome for the future, I cannot perform the tasks performed in the past.  Finding information is easy, it only takes a matter of seconds to find a fact.  Manipulating and figuring out what to build with information is the challenge.  People can make references about "my days in school" or ask the same rhetoric questions "MOST" teachers will ask, but if we want to change the future, we have to change what we are doing today!!

Technology is important because it is how we live.  Technology is important because it is what we know.  Technology is important because it is what will help us build a better tomorrow.  We are teachers for tomorrow!
